Keith Kohanzo ScholarshipChief Petty Officer First Class Maya Latajka of #344 RCSCC Victoria, Calgary, received the Keith Kohanzo Scholarship. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Education at the University of Lethbridge.
CPO1 Latajka is the current Coxswain of # 344 RCSCC Victoria. She was selected for this position because she has proven to be an outstanding cadet. In the 2019-2020 cadet year, she was instrumental in starting a corps band, which now has 25 members. Her commitment to excellence in her own work, combined with her passion for mentoring younger cadets, makes her an excellent member of her corps, and a deserving recipient of this award.
She has demonstrated her dedication to leadership and physical fitness within the sea cadet program. CPO1 Lakajka is interested in continuing her involvement by becoming a volunteer with the junior cadet program.
