Mr. Barry Bevvan

On behalf of the National Board of the Navy League of Canada, it is with deep sadness that I announce the passing of one of our most dedicated volunteers. Mr. Barry Bevvan passed away this weekend of natural causes. Recently elected as the Ontario Division President, Mr. Bevvan had worked with the Sea Cadet program for nearly 50 years in different capacities. Highly decorated and recognized, his experience as an Officer of the Cadet Instructors List (now Cadet Instructors Cadre), and as the recurring Commanding Officer of Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Corps Quinte, provided him with invaluable knowledge when became a member of The Navy League of Canada. His long-standing career with the Navy League saw him heavily contributing to his community, taking personal interest in at-risk youth, and actively advocating for youth education as a dedicated teacher and active musician.
