THE NAVY LEAGUE OF CANADA AB DIV

November COVID Update - November 13, 2020

With the recent developments on the COVID -19 front in Alberta, the Alberta Division is recommending no in-person meetings for Branch and/or Division members until no earlier than 30 November 2020. Alberta Division will monitor the situation and continue to up-date all Branch and Division members as to when face to face meetings may resume.

Below is the directive from the Regional Cadet Support Unit and the AB Division Commander as to processes and expectations for the Navy League.

The link below from Alberta Health Services shows Edmonton, Calgary, and surrounding areas are high risk for COVID-19. Due to these new health measures put in place by AHS, all cadet activities and parading is suspended within the province of Alberta. This is in effect immediately, and we will re-evaluate on Monday, Nov 30, 2020. We apologize for the inconvenience this will cause some of you, but I’m afraid these precautions have to be put in place for the safety of our cadets and officers. Of course, virtual training may continue as normal, as long as there isn’t more than one instructor in any given location. I will keep you updated as changes occur.

As always he COVID response and expectations are fluid so please monitor your Navy League e-mails. Please be safe, mask up as appropriate and together we will work together to create a strong program for years to come.

The health and safety of our cadets, volunteers, parents and families is of the greatest importance to ensure that “Today’s Youth become Tomorrow’s Leaders”

Be safe
