NL CADET WORKING GROUP UPDATE

The NL Cadet Working Group which consists of NL Officers from across the country (Alberta, Ontario, Quebec) are continuing to work on the NL Officer Development Packages.

This works stems from the “virtual” Commanders Conference of April/May. There has been quite a bit of work already discussed and collaborated on.

The Working Group is being coordinated by Bob Lacquement.

NL CADET BADGE POSTER

Consideration is currently being given to the creation of a NL Cadet Corps Badge Poster. More details will be available in the Fall 2020.

PPE EQUIPMENT – MASKS

The National Office has purchased 5,000 reusable “cloth” masks for the Cadets, NL Cadet Volunteers and Instructors. The masks are solid black and are machine washable. The distribution of the masks will be based on the annual inspection reports.

KAHOOT! COMPETITION

We recently hosted 5 qualifying rounds for the Kahoot! Game with the finale being held on Thursday, July 23rd. The winning cadet was from Vancouver Island. Each participant in the finale as well as the top winners from the qualifying round will be receiving a Walmart Gift Card. The total prizes awarded was $575.00.

Based on the feedback received from Division Commander, access to the Kahoot! platform will be shared with the Divisions in order to run their own games with a shared pool of questions.
